Grants - Community Development

Council wishes to advise that the 2011/12 Ruapehu Community Grant Fund will focus entirely on community facilities' maintenance and upgrade.  Following the Council's recent Annual Plan consultation, a number of submissions focussed on the need to upgrade older community facilities including pools, courts and other buildings.  The issue highlighted the need in the community for targeted funding to bring our important facilities up to standards again.  Council is working with those organisations who submitted on these issues through the Annual Plan.

There will not be contestable grant funds available for the community in 2011/12.
