Ohakune
Ohakune is a resort town at the southern gateway to Tongariro National Park, 20 minutes drive from Turoa skifield on the south-western side of Mt Ruapehu.
Winter sees Ohakune transformed into the bustling ski capital of the North Island. It is also the start of the Mountain to the Sea cycleway.
