2007 Local Government Elections

DECLARATION OF RESULT OF ELECTION

In accordance with section 86 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, I hereby declare the results for the following election held on Saturday 13 October 2007.

I confirm that the official result was determined after the scrutiny of the roll was completed, the validity of all special votes was determined and all valid votes were counted.

Mayoralty - (One (1) Candidate to be elected)

I therefore declare Sue MORRIS to be elected.

Councillors - Taumarunui Ward -- (Five (5) Councillors to be elected)

I therefore declare Bruce BRODERSON, Ron COOKE, Graeme Selwyn COSFORD, Jeni KYDD and Karen NGATAI to be elected.

Councillors - National Park Ward - (One (1) Councillor to be elected)

I therefore declare Warren FURNER to be elected.

Councillors - Waimarino - Waiouru Ward - (Four (4) Councillors to be elected)

I therefore declare Don CAMERON, John COMPTON, Cynthia DOWSETT and Ronald Taylor FREW to be elected.

Members - National Park Community Board - (Four (4) Members to be elected)

I therefore declare Steve ADAMS, Shona FORBES, Ken P MALCOLM and Jim PAUL to be elected.

The Voter Return Percentage is approximately 46.7%, excluding special votes
