Support for Economic Development
Do you support the proposal to increase the economic development budget by $110,000 to further implement Council’s Economic Development Strategy Growing Ruapehu and fund completion of joint venture marketing campaigns on the Timber Trail and Mountains to Sea cycle ways with neighbouring districts. Support for Visit Ruapehu
Do you support the proposal to increase Visit Ruapehu’s budget by $289,000 to cover the increasing needs of its core RTO role and continue the invaluable regional and government level work it is doing under Accelerate25. For a detailed breakdown see the Consultation Document pages 8 and 18-27.
Support for township revitalisation
Do you support the proposal to budget $500,000 toward township revitalisation by for initial detailed planning and project work. For a detailed breakdown see the Consultation Document pages 8 and 28-30.
Support for tourism infrastructure seed funding
Do you support the proposal to budget $975,000 toward seed funding for three tourism infrastructure projects. These projects are dependent on Council gaining government support funding. For a detailed breakdown see the Consultation Document page 8 and 10.
