Ruapehu District Council in conjunction with Thrive Whanganui is excited to announce the upcoming event, “Be your own Boss - Whakaterea te Moemoeā,” a two-day wānanga from the 20th to the 21st April, 2024 at Morero Marae in Taumarunui.
This is a unique opportunity for whānau across the rohe to connect back with other new pakihi (businesses) and accelerate their business ideas in a safe and empowering environment.
This event, hosted at Morero Marae in Taumarunui, is designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs from business idea to reality with both new concepts and existing business ideas welcome.
James Paul, Partnerships and Programme Lead at Thrive Whanganui says, “Entrepreneurship is a journey that requires support and fostering on many levels, not least from those in one's own community travelling a similar path.
Understanding best practice from a mātauranga Māori perspective will ensure Māori entrepreneurship flourishes in the Ruapehu region”.
Kim Treen, Business Relationship & Development Manager at Ruapehu District Council says, “we are proud to work with and support Thrive, who are empowering individuals to realize their business aspirations and help drive entrepreneurs in our district.”
