2022 Daily Voting Returns Statistics

The daily vote count report shows the number of electors (eligible voters) in each ward and how many votes are returned daily to the electoral officer.

The numbers increase each day over the voting period (16 September to 12 noon, 8 October 2022).

The report also compares the data with the 2019 and 2016 local elections by date.

Why we don’t report the numbers as they come in

Current electoral legislation allows us to report only the number of people who have voted on a daily basis and by ward area, however, it restricts us from releasing any results until voting has closed.

This is why we release progress results as soon as practical after voting has closed.
