Have you run out of books to read but aren't able to get to the library?

Are you going on holiday but don't want your baggage weighed down with heavy books?

Do you struggle to return library books on time and are always paying overdue fines?

….. then the library eBook service may be the answer for you.

Electronic books (e-Books) are available through Council libraries. The service is very simple to use and allows access to the library e-Book catalogues 24/7 365 days a year.  Items are automatically 'returned' on their due date without you having to visit the library – no more overdue fees!

To get started, you will need:

  • a compatible digital device  - iPads and other tablets, smartphones, notebooks and PC's, and most eBook readers with the exception of Kindle (although Kindle Fire may be used). They need to have a modern web browser (eg. Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 10, Safari etc).
  • an internet or Wi-Fi connection.
  • a visit to an RDC library to set up a personal password.
