In line with the three yearly Long Term Plan (LTP) refresh cycle Council has refreshed its Economic Development Strategy for the same ten year (2018-2028) period.
It describes the Council's economic development strategy and what actions Ruapehu stakeholders need to focus on through until 2028 to stimulate and maintain economic development.
It identifies the key priorities that have been identified by the community and Council's role. This includes the required actions to manage the competing pressures and issues in our different economic sectors e.g. impact of tourism on infrastructure demands, etc.
Council has also been actively working on various projects to assist business and economic development in a practical way. This includes; helpful resources for business development, business friendly information, involvement in regional development, facilitating sector cooperation and promoting local and international investment, etc.
