Plastic Free July
Join the Plastic Free July Challenge
The Plastic Free July Challenge is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution.
All you need to do is go to plasticfreejuly.org and click on the "Yes! I will take the challenge!" link where you find heaps of resources and ideas to reduce single-use plastics waste every day at home, work, school or wherever else you happen to be.
Ruapehu District Council provides a range of workshops where participants can upcycle materials to use as alternatives to plastics such as Boomerang bags, No-sew bags and beeswax wraps.
If you would like to participate in any of the workshops or would like more information contact Emily on 07 895 8188 or 027 203 1247 or [email protected]
