Recovery is well underway from the significant rain event that overwhelmed the storm water network around Totara Cres in Matapuna causing flooding.
Waka Kotahi NZTA advise that SH4 north of Taumarunui maybe closed for Queens Birthday weekend. Light vehicles can detour via Ongarue Back Road.
