Community Projects

At any one time Council is involved with any number of community projects either directly (leading and managing ourselves) or in partnership / supporting a community group with a project of their own.

Although Council has limited resources we will always do what we can to support worthwhile projects run by community groups that will improve well-being and life in Ruapehu. External funding is an important aspect of achieving outcomes for communities.

Helping Businesses to Establish and Succeed

Council actively works to support new and established businesses in Ruapehu to grow and succeed. In addition to a 'business friendly' regulatory approach we work in partnership with other councils and agencies to provide resources and advice.
