Creative Communities Grant Funding

This fund is supplied by Creative NZ and administered by the Ruapehu District Council.If you are involved with any activity or project, that increases participation in the arts and culture at a local level, you may be eligible for grant funding from the Creative New Zealand Communities Scheme.

Creative Communities grant funding is available for any arts based activity and includes such things as increasing the range and diversity of arts and culture available to local communities, or any project that enhances or strengthens the local arts sector.

Applications are encouraged from community groups and individuals whose projects:

demonstrate growth over time
develop and support local artistic communities
encourage a transfer or artistic skills.
diversity, inclusion, and projects with a youth focus are also encouraged.

Fund Details
Who can apply	Individuals and community groups. Projects must take place within the Ruapehu District and benefit local communities.
Funding length	One year. Projects must be completed within 12 months of funding being approved.

Confirmation and decision process	After submitting your application, you will receive an automated email confirmation that your application has been received. The Creative Communities Advisory Committee meets 6-7 weeks after applications close. If you indicated you wish to speak to your application, known as giving a presentation, we will be in touch to let you know the details. Within five working days of the committee meeting, you will receive an email letting you know the outcome of your application.
How do I get the funds?	Once we know the outcome of your application, we'll ask you to send us an invoice, along with a completed Agreement to account for funds and proof of bank account.
After your project	We would love to know how your project went. Please complete the project completion form within two months of completion of your project.

Join the Assessment Committee and help increase participation in local arts and culture

The Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) assessment committee allocates CCS funding for our district. The committee is made up of councillors and community representatives who are familiar with the broad range of local arts activity. Assessors who are community representatives can sit on the committee for a maximum of 2 x 3-year terms.

The Assessment Committee needs new members from the Northern and Southern parts of the district. As a member of the Assessment Committee you can help provide increased participation in the arts and culture in Ruapehu. If you or anyone you know may be interested, please submit a nomination form or phone your local Council Office.
