PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE FOR RAETIHI CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL - SATURDAY 12 DECEMBER 2026
PURSUANT to Schedule 10, Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974 notice is hereby given that the Ruapehu District Council will proposes to close the below road for the following event:
Event: Raetihi Christmas Carnival and Parade 2026
Proposed Road Closed: Seddon Street between Ward Street and Duncan Street
Date: Saturday 12 December 2025
Time: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Detour Available: Via Queen Street and King Streets
The above proposed road closure is provisional pending regulatory approval of the Traffic Management Plan. The Raetihi Christmas Carnival does not anticipate any changes.
Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and the grounds thereof in writing by 5pm Wednesday 3rd November 2026 at the office of Ruapehu District Council, at Private Bag 1001, Taumarunui 3946 or emailed to [email protected].
